The earlier ships, INS Sandhayak, INS Nirdeshak and INS Ikshak, were commissioned in 2024 and 2025. The 110 m, 3,400-ton ship carries hydrographic equipment including an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle and Remotely Operated Vehicle, and has over 80% indigenous content.
