Consider the following statements about the procurement decisions of 12 June 2025: 1. Procurement of 50,750 MT of groundnut under PSS was approved in Uttar Pradesh. 2. Procurement of tur, urad and masur up to 100% of State production has been extended up to 2030–31. Which of the statements given above is/are correct?
Show answer
Correct answer: A — 1 only
PIB (Agriculture): 50,750 MT of groundnut under PSS was approved in Uttar Pradesh, so 1 is correct. The Union Budget 2025 continued 100% procurement of tur, urad and masur for four more years up to 2028–29, not 2030–31, so 2 is wrong. So the answer is 1 only.
