Dunagiri (Yard 3023), the fifth ship of the Nilgiri class (Project 17A) and the second built at Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE), was delivered to the Indian Navy at Kolkata on 30 March 2026. It revives the name of the Leander-class frigate INS Dunagiri that served from 1977 to 2010. Designed by the Warship Design Bureau, P17A frigates carry BrahMos missiles, MFSTAR radar and MRSAM, and use CODOG propulsion. Dunagiri is the fifth P17A ship delivered in 16 months.
