India Post revises Speed Post (document) tariff from 1 October 2025, first change since 2012

The tariff was last revised in October 2012. Under the new rates, a document of up to 50 grams costs ₹19 for local delivery and ₹47 for other distances, plus GST. Registration and OTP-based delivery are available as value-added services at ₹5 each per item, and students get a 10% discount while new bulk customers get 5%. Speed Post was introduced on 1 August 1986.
