Four blocks are fully explored and two partially explored, with geological reserves of about 1,503.93 million tonnes and a peak rated capacity of 11.62 MTPA. The blocks lie in Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh; the highest final offer, 37.50%, was for Tara (Revised) in Chhattisgarh. Since commercial coal mining began in 2020, 147 blocks have been auctioned.
