On 25 October 2025, Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited the ICAR–Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, under the theme 'One Agriculture – One Nation – One Team'. In a 'Chaupal' dialogue he met farmers from Ramanathapuram, Sivaganga, Thoothukudi and Virudhunagar, the Tamil Nadu districts included in the Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PM-DDKY). He said the scheme brings together 36 schemes of 11 central ministries. In a second Chaupal he spoke about natural farming and the National Pulses Mission. He praised the KVK's wild boar repellent and promised help on coconut pests and on processing units for surplus mangoes.
