The Second WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine concluded at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi on 19 December 2025, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressing the closing ceremony under the theme 'Restoring Balance: The Science and Practice of Health and Well-being'. At the summit, the Prime Minister and WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus jointly inaugurated the WHO South-East Asia Regional Office building in New Delhi, which will also house the WHO India Country Office. The Prime Minister launched the Traditional Medicine Global Library, the My Ayush Integrated Services Portal as the master portal of the Ayush Grid and the Ayush Mark as a global benchmark for quality Ayush products and services, released a postal stamp on Ashwagandha, and recalled that the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine was set up in Jamnagar, Gujarat after the responsibility was entrusted to India in 2022.
