On 20 November 2024 in Georgetown, Guyana, PM Narendra Modi and the Prime Minister of Grenada, Dickon Mitchell, the current CARICOM Chair, chaired the 2nd India-CARICOM Summit, hosted by Guyana's President Irfaan Ali. The first India-CARICOM Summit was held in 2019 in New York. Modi offered help in seven key areas that fit the CARICOM acronym, including 1,000 more ITEC slots over the next five years, training in India for 11 young women cricketers from each CARICOM country, 'Days of Indian Culture' next year, maritime domain mapping and hydrography, Jan Aushadhi generic medicines, yoga experts, and India's Digital Public Infrastructure, DigiLocker and UPI. He announced that the next India-CARICOM Summit would be hosted in India.
