NISM and IICA sign MoU on corporate governance, ESG and capital markets in Mumbai

On 19 May 2026 the SEBI-established National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) and the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) signed an MoU in Mumbai to advance corporate governance, ESG and capital markets.

The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), established by SEBI, and the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, signed an MoU in Mumbai on 19 May 2026 to advance corporate governance, ESG and capital markets. The two institutions will jointly run capacity-building programmes, certification courses, executive education and training, including for SEBI officers and staff of other regulators and financial institutions. SEBI Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey attended the signing and stressed MSME access to capital markets and stronger sustainability disclosures.
