The Ministry of Defence announced on 23 December 2024 that the theme for tableaux at the Republic Day Celebrations 2025 would be 'Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas'. The theme was decided on the basis of suggestions from States and UTs. Fifteen States/UTs were selected to show tableaux on Kartavya Path: Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Eleven central ministries/departments were also selected. All States/UTs, whether selected or not, were invited to display their tableaux at Bharat Parv at the Red Fort from 26 to 31 January 2025.
