The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said on 17 April 2026 that it has expanded the eligible destinations under RELIEF – Resilience & Logistics Intervention for Export Facilitation, a time-bound intervention under the Export Promotion Mission (EPM), adding Egypt and Jordan for shipments meant for delivery or transhipment. RELIEF was launched on 19 March 2026 to support exporters hit by freight escalation, higher insurance premia and war-related risks in the Gulf and wider West Asia corridor. ECGC is the nodal agency, and the scheme includes reimbursement support for eligible MSME exporters. A policy circular of 15 April 2026 clarified that exporters taking a fresh ECGC Whole Turnover Policy on or after 16 March 2026 are also eligible under Component II.
