The Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (PSA) to the Government of India released the Round 2 study report on 'Evaluation of Innovation Excellence Indicators of Public Funded R&D Organizations' on 29 April 2025. PSA Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood unveiled it at the 15th CII Global Innovation and IP Summit 2025 in New Delhi. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Center for Technology, Innovation, and Economic Research (CTIER) were knowledge partners. The framework assessed six dimensions: research output and quality, technology transfer and commercialisation, collaborations and industry engagement, IP generation, societal and policy impact, and human resource development.
