On 20 November 2024 in New Delhi, the Ministry of Defence said more than 1.76 crore school students from all 36 States and UTs had taken part in Project Veer Gatha 4.0, sending poems, paintings, essays and videos honouring the bravery of the Armed Forces. Instituted in 2021, the project spreads the stories of Gallantry Awardees among students. Participation has grown from 8 lakh in the first edition to 19.5 lakh in the second and 1.36 crore in the third. As in edition 3.0, 100 national winners (Super 100) will be chosen, each getting ₹10,000, and felicitated by the Ministries of Education and Defence in New Delhi.
