President Murmu said Mahatma Gandhi belonged to India but his message belongs to all humanity, and that his faith in dialogue and peaceful coexistence remains relevant in a world facing conflict and division. Earlier, the two Presidents visited the Memorial of Mother Teresa in Skopje; Mother Teresa was born in Skopje, lived there until 1928 and was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1980. President Murmu left for Romania, the last leg of her three-nation visit, the next day.
