President Murmu and President Nicușor Dan agreed to work towards doubling bilateral trade over the next three years and to strengthen resilient supply chains. President Murmu called Romania an important partner for India within the European Union and said the India–EU Free Trade Agreement would open unprecedented opportunities. India and Romania will expand joint R&D under their Programme of Cooperation in Science and Technology; an Indian Studies Chair is being set up at the University of Bucharest with ICCR support; and India will double ITEC training slots for Romania.
