PMAY-Urban 2.0: 2.35 lakh houses approved for nine states at 3rd CSMC meeting
On 18 June 2025 in New Delhi, the third meeting of the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee approved 2,34,864 houses in nine states under PMAY-Urban 2.0.

The Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (CSMC) of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Urban 2.0 approved 2,34,864 houses at its third meeting on 18 June 2025, chaired by Housing and Urban Affairs Secretary Srinivas Katikithala. The houses are in Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, under the Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC) and Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP) verticals. Total sanctions under PMAY-U 2.0 have reached 7,09,979 houses. More than 1.25 lakh of the newly approved houses are for women, including single women and widows. The Secretary asked larger states to frame affordable housing policies and study Maharashtra's policy.
