PM inaugurates Skyroot's Infinity Campus in Hyderabad, unveils Vikram-I orbital rocket
On 27 November 2025 PM Narendra Modi inaugurated Skyroot Aerospace's Infinity Campus in Hyderabad, Telangana, via video conferencing and unveiled Vikram-I, Skyroot's first orbital rocket.
Summary
Skyroot's Infinity Campus is a facility of about 200,000 sq ft for designing, developing, integrating and testing multiple launch vehicles, with capacity to build one orbital rocket every month. The PM also unveiled Vikram-I, Skyroot's first orbital rocket, capable of launching satellites to orbit. Skyroot was founded by former ISRO scientists Pawan Chandana and Bharath Dhaka; in November 2022 its sub-orbital rocket Vikram-S made it the first Indian private company to launch a rocket to space. The PM said more than 300 space start-ups are now active in India.
