PM Modi conferred The Order of Mubarak Al-Kabeer, Kuwait's highest national award

Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah conferred the award on 22 December 2024, during the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Kuwait in 43 years.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred The Order of Mubarak Al-Kabeer, the highest national award of Kuwait, by the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on 22 December 2024. Kuwait's Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah also attended the ceremony. Modi dedicated the award to the friendship between India and Kuwait, the Indian community in Kuwait and the 1.4 billion people of India. The award was instituted in 1974 and has been conferred on select global leaders. The visit was the first by an Indian Prime Minister to Kuwait in 43 years.
