On 24 February 2025 Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the two-day Global Investors Summit 2025 in Bhopal, in the presence of Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. He said 'the whole world is optimistic about India', cited the World Bank and an OECD representative, and named textile, tourism and technology as key drivers of India's developed future. At the summit the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), a Navratna CPSU under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, signed an MoU with the Madhya Pradesh government for a 200 MW solar project at Dhar under the CPSU Scheme and a 1,000 MWh battery storage project; SECI proposed phased capital expenditure of ₹2,500 crore in the state.
