Piyush Goyal, the Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, commenced his official visit to Switzerland and Sweden (9–13 June 2025) on 9 June with extensive engagements with Swiss industry leaders in Bern under the India–EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA). He met leaders of several Swiss companies and chaired two sectoral roundtables, on Biotech & Pharma and Healthcare, and on Precision Engineering, Defence and Emerging Technologies, hosted with the Indian Embassy. He urged Swiss firms to see India as a strategic hub for manufacturing, talent and innovation and to use the dedicated EFTA Desk at Invest India; he also met the Switzerland Chapter of ICAI.
