Bihar's first PARAM Rudra supercomputer was inaugurated at IIT Patna on 26 December 2025 by Amitesh Kumar Sinha, Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). PARAM Rudra at IIT Patna was set up under Phase-3 of the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM), designed and commissioned by C-DAC, and has a peak computing power of 838 TFLOPS. At the launch, Sinha said 37 supercomputers with a combined capacity of 39 petaflops have been deployed under the NSM.
