DAANVEER: Panchayati Raj Ministry launches citizen platform to donate computers to Gram Panchayats

On 29 July 2026 the Ministry of Panchayati Raj launched DAANVEER, a citizen-participation platform through which people can voluntarily contribute computers and other digital needs of Gram Panchayats via the Meri Panchayat App.

DAANVEER, a citizen participation initiative to strengthen the digital infrastructure of Gram Panchayats, was launched in New Delhi on 29 July 2026 by Vivek Bharadwaj, Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj. It is a transparent, end-to-end, verifiable platform that lets citizens and organisations contribute towards identified technology and infrastructure needs of Gram Panchayats, such as computers, through the Meri Panchayat App. It has been developed with the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and DigiHaat.
