The Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI) 2.0 portal (pai.gov.in) was launched on 26 May 2025 at the start of a two-day National Writeshop on PAI Version 2.0 for FY 2023-24 at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi, organised by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj. The Local Indicator Framework booklet for FY 2023-24 and a Standard Operating Procedure were also released. The event was attended by the Secretaries of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj and the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. PAI is meant to support data-backed, evidence-based planning by panchayats.
