The National Statistics Office (NSO) of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation announced on 6 April 2026 that it is launching the first-ever Annual Survey of Incorporated Services Sector Enterprises (ASISSE) from April 2026, covering all states and union territories, with financial year 2024-25 as the reference period. The survey uses the GSTN database as its sampling frame and will cover about 1.21 lakh enterprises: companies registered under the Companies Act, 1956/2013 or the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008. ASISSE complements the Annual Survey of Industries (ASI) for registered manufacturing and the Annual Survey of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises (ASUSE) for the unincorporated non-agricultural sector, together giving a fuller picture of the non-agricultural economy. NSO also released a user guide, 'Know Your Survey'.
