NMDC signs MoU with IIT Kanpur on cybersecurity and digital technologies

NMDC, India's largest iron ore producer, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with IIT Kanpur, announced on 6 December 2025, to strengthen cybersecurity and promote AI and machine learning across NMDC's operations. Under the NMDC–IIT Kanpur MoU, the two will work on cybersecurity risk assessments, governance and compliance, security operations and incident response, capacity building and joint research. NMDC and IIT Kanpur will also run joint training programmes, pilot projects and proof-of-concept solutions.
