NIELIT and Maharashtra sign MoU for Centres of Excellence in AI, robotics, IoT and Industry 4.0

On 11 October 2024, in New Delhi, the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) and the Government of Maharashtra, through its Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE), Mumbai, signed an MoU to establish Centres of Excellence (CoE) in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Internet of Things, Industry 4.0, 3D Printing and allied technologies, with capacity-training and R&D centres at Government Polytechnics and Government Engineering Colleges in the state. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the effort, beginning in Maharashtra, will be extended to other states. Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil attended.
