Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) Secretary S Krishnan inaugurated the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Centre of Excellence in Chip Design at NIELIT's Noida campus on 4 February 2025. The centre, set up with SoCTeamup Semiconductors Pvt Ltd, a DPIIT-recognised startup, will offer facilities for research, innovation and training in VLSI (Very Large-Scale Integration) and chip design to build a talent pool for the semiconductor industry.
