NHLML and IWAI sign MoU for a Multi-Modal Logistics Park in Varanasi

National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) and the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) signed an MoU on 11 March 2025, in the presence of Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Sarbananda Sonowal, to develop a Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The 150-acre park will connect to NH7 through a 650-m access road, link to the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor through a 5.1-km rail line from Jeonathpur station, and integrate with National Waterway-1. It is about 30 km from Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport.
