NHAI begins trial run of tunnel and underpasses on Dwarka Expressway's Delhi section

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) said on 28 May 2025 that it would begin a trial run of the tunnel and underpasses on the Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway from 29 May, from 12:00 to 15:00 hours daily, to decongest the Delhi–Gurugram section of NH-48. The trial covers a shallow tunnel connecting Dwarka/Yashobhumi to the airport through airport underpasses, and routes towards Gurugram (Sirhaul) through a right-turn underpass. The tunnel has a 4.5-metre vehicle height restriction, and slow-moving vehicles such as two- and three-wheelers are not allowed.
