NCB seizes about 110 kg of methamphetamine tablets worth ₹88 crore in Manipur and Assam, arrests 4

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) seized methamphetamine tablets worth ₹88 crore in two operations on 13 March 2025 — 102.39 kg near Lilong in Manipur and 7.48 kg near Silchar on the Assam–Mizoram border — and arrested four people.

The seizures were worth ₹88 crore, and four members of an international cartel were arrested. NCB also took over a Mizoram State Excise case involving about 46 kg of crystal meth. Union Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated NCB on 16 March.
