Summary

The 88th meeting of the Standing Committee of the National Board for Wildlife (SC-NBWL) examined proposals for public utilities, defence needs and infrastructure in and around protected areas, sanctuaries, tiger reserves and eco-sensitive zones under the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972. Utility proposals included Jal Jeevan Mission drinking water supply, health centres, road widening, 4G towers and transmission lines, along with a medium irrigation project in Madhya Pradesh's Bundelkhand region.
