The Indian Navy commissioned DSC A20, the first of five Diving Support Craft built indigenously by Titagarh Rail Systems Limited, Kolkata, at Naval Base Kochi on 16 December 2025, in a ceremony presided over by Vice Admiral Sameer Saxena, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command. DSC A20 is a catamaran-hull vessel of about 390 tonnes displacement, built to Indian Register of Shipping rules, and will be used for underwater repairs and inspections, harbour clearance and diving missions in coastal waters. The contract for the five craft was signed on 12 February 2021, and the hydrodynamic model testing was done at NSTL, Visakhapatnam.
