Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi began an official visit to Brazil from 9 to 12 December 2025 to consolidate the maritime partnership between the Indian Navy and the Brazilian Navy. During the Brazil visit, Admiral Tripathi is to hold talks with Brazilian Defence Minister Jose Mucio, Chief of the Joint Staff Admiral Renato Rodrigues de Aguiar Freire and Navy Commander Admiral Marcos Sampaio Olsen, and visit naval bases and shipyards. The visit forms part of the India–Brazil Strategic Partnership.
