The Climate Smart Agro-Textile Demonstration Center was launched in Navsari, Gujarat, on 21 December 2024 by the Ministry of Textiles in collaboration with the Synthetic & Art Silk Mills' Research Association (SASMIRA), in the presence of Union Jal Shakti Minister C. R. Patil. Spread over 15,000 sq m, the centre will be maintained by SASMIRA for three years, covering eight crop cycles.
