National School Band Competition 6.0: Jharkhand's KGBV Patamda girls win pipe band title

PM SHRI Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) Patamda, East Singhbhum, Jharkhand won first prize in the Pipe Band – Girls category of the National School Band Competition 6.0, with prizes given away by Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth in New Delhi on 25 January 2025. Other first prizes went to Govt. Sr. Sec. School West Point, Gangtok, Sikkim (Brass Band – Girls), Prince Lotus Valley, Sikar, Rajasthan (Brass Band – Boys) and City Montessori School, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh (Pipe Band – Boys). For the first time, three government school bands – from Jharkhand, Sikkim and Karnataka – were set to perform at the Republic Day Parade.
