National Red Run 2.0 held at Miramar, Panaji for HIV awareness

The National Red Run 2.0, a 10-km run organised by NACO to raise HIV awareness, was held at Miramar, Panaji, Goa, on 18 January 2025 with around 150 runners.

Summary

The National Red Run 2.0 was held at Miramar, Panaji, Goa, on 18 January 2025, organised by the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) with the Goa State AIDS Control Society to raise awareness about HIV prevention through sport. Around 150 runners, the top two from state-level Red Runs in all states and UTs, ran the 10-km race in male, female and transgender categories. Union Minister of State Shripad Y. Naik flagged off the run. Nabeel Sahi of Kerala won the male category, Shreya of Chandigarh the female category and Tanu Thsokcsom of Manipur the transgender category; prizes were ₹50,000, ₹35,000 and ₹25,000 for the top three. A 2-km Solidarity Run was also held.
