National conference on making cities cyber secure held at Vigyan Bhawan

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Electronics and IT, held the National Conference on Making Cities Cyber Secure at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on 18 July 2025. Over 300 delegates attended, including state secretaries, municipal commissioners, smart city CEOs and representatives of CERT-In, NCIIPC, I4C and STQC. MoHUA presented city-level cybersecurity frameworks, the mandatory appointment of Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and the completion of cybersecurity audits. The conference also discussed a wider role for smart city SPVs.
