LBSNAA and DoLR hold national workshop for District Collectors on NAKSHA urban land survey
The Department of Land Resources and LBSNAA announced on 26 October 2025 a two-day workshop in Mussoorie on 27-28 October to prepare District Collectors for the NAKSHA urban land survey pilot in 28 states and 3 UTs.

The Department of Land Resources (DoLR), with LBSNAA's B N Yugandhar Centre for Rural Studies (BNYCRS), announced on 26 October 2025 a 'Training cum Workshop on NAKSHA' for District Magistrates and Collectors on 27-28 October 2025 in Mussoorie. NAKSHA (NAtional geospatial Knowledge-based land Survey of urban Habitations) is being piloted across 28 states and 3 UTs to modernise urban land records. Sessions cover the programme workflow, GIS and modern survey techniques, data acquisition, a NAKSHA Web-GIS portal demo by MPSEDC, state experiences from Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Assam and Madhya Pradesh, and a ground-truthing demo by the Survey of India.
