Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda inaugurated the new Library and Informatics Centre at the Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH) in Tezpur, Assam, on 8 January 2025. J.P. Nadda also laid the foundation stone of a 50-bedded Critical Care Block at Mangaldai District Civil Hospital in Darrang district, to be built with financial support of ₹23.75 crore under PM-ABHIM. The minister chaired a Board of Governors meeting at LGBRIMH, joined by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and later reviewed the progress of work at AIIMS Guwahati.
