Cabinet fixes MSP of raw jute at ₹5,650 per quintal for 2025-26

About 40 lakh farm families depend on the jute industry; West Bengal accounts for 82% of jute farmers, while Assam and Bihar have 9% each of production. The Jute Corporation of India remains the nodal agency for price support operations.
