The Model Resilient Village project at Sil/Sunani, in Bawasni Gram Panchayat, Baddi, Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, had its foundation stone laid on 20 January 2025. The area was struck by a cloudburst-induced landslide on 14 August 2023. The project is a collaboration of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), the Government of Himachal Pradesh, Bal Raksha Bharat and Zee Entertainment, and will build housing, schools, anganwadis, health facilities, community centres and livelihood support. CSIR Director General N. Kalaiselvi was chief guest. CSIR-CBRI will design infrastructure such as shelters, roads, drinking water systems, sanitation, a health centre and a community hall.
