The Ministry of Defence signed a contract with Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) on 16 January 2025 in New Delhi for the supply of Medium-Range Surface-to-Air Missiles (MRSAM) for the Indian Navy, at a cost of about ₹2,960 crore, in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh. MRSAM is a standard fit on multiple Indian naval ships and is planned for most future platforms.
