MoD signs ₹2,095.70 crore contract with BDL for INVAR anti-tank missiles for T-90 tanks

The Ministry of Defence signed a ₹2,095.70 crore contract with Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) on 13 November 2025 to procure INVAR anti-tank missiles under the 'Buy (Indian)' category, to raise the firepower of the Indian Army's T-90 tanks.

Summary

The INVAR missile contract was signed at South Block, New Delhi, in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh. INVAR is a laser-guided anti-tank missile with very high hit probability, and it will enhance the lethality of the T-90, the mainstay of the Army's armoured regiments. The Ministry said the deal draws on the expertise of Defence Public Sector Undertakings in support of self-reliance in defence.
