The Ministry of Minority Affairs signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna under the PM VIKAS (Pradhan Mantri Virasat Ka Samvardhan) scheme, the ministry said on 20 April 2026. Under the MoU, IIT Patna will train 600 minority youth from Bihar in emerging job roles such as AI Technocrat and Business Analytics Executive, to improve their employability and placement prospects. The MoU was exchanged in the presence of IIT Patna Director Prof. T.N. Singh. The ministry had signed similar PM VIKAS MoUs the previous week with IIT Dharwad, NIT Manipur, CSIR–CMERI Durgapur and Arunachal Pradesh Forest Corporation.
