The India AI Governance Guidelines, unveiled on 5 November 2025 ahead of the India–AI Impact Summit 2026, set out a framework for safe, inclusive and responsible AI adoption with four components: seven guiding principles (Sutras), recommendations across six pillars of AI governance, an action plan with short-, medium- and long-term timelines, and practical guidelines for industry, developers and regulators.
