MeitY, with CERT-In, CSIRT-Fin and SISA, released the second edition of the Digital Threat Report 2025–26 for India's banking, financial services, insurance and payments ecosystem on 13 July 2026.
Summary
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), along with the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), the Computer Security Incident Response Team in Finance (CSIRT-Fin) and SISA, released the second edition of the Digital Threat Report 2025–26 for the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) and payments ecosystem on 13 July 2026. The report gives financial institutions and regulators an assessment of cyber threats, highlighting AI asymmetry and emerging trends. MeitY Secretary S. Krishnan launched the report.
