The ISTS charges waiver for storage projects was extended to 30 June 2028; nine 1100 kV UHV AC lines and ten substations are planned by 2034 (about ₹53,000 crore); compensation for transmission tower area was raised from 85% to 200% of land value and for the RoW corridor from 15% to 30%. India added a record 34 GW of capacity in 2024-25 (29.5 GW renewable), taking installed capacity to 472.5 GW, and energy shortage fell to 0.1% as of April 2025 from 4.2% in 2013-14.
