The first edition of the Soldierathon, 'Run for Soldiers and Run with Soldiers', was held at Army Hospital (Research & Referral), New Delhi, on 20 April 2025, with over 5,000 runners, the Ministry of Defence said. Jointly organised by Army Hospital (R&R) and Fitistan â Ek Fit Bharat, it had a 10 km timed run, a 5 km fun run and a 3 km walk. It was flagged off by Mizoram Governor General (Dr) V.K. Singh (Retd) along with the Chief of the Naval Staff and other senior officers. The event raised funds for the Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre at Kirkee, Pune, which cares for soldiers injured in the line of duty.
