Lt Gen CG Muralidharan has taken over as Director General of Medical Services (Army), PIB reported on 18 October 2025. He succeeds Lt Gen Sadhna S Nair, AVSM, VSM, who superannuated on 30 September 2025 after more than four decades of service. An alumnus of the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, Lt Gen Muralidharan was commissioned into the Army Medical Corps in 1987 and is a radiologist who has served in the Northern and Western theatres. His priorities include holistic care for serving personnel, veterans and dependents, and medical preparedness of forward medical establishments. The Army Medical Corps' motto is 'Sarve Santu Niramayah'.
