LSAM 14 (Yard 82), the seventh of eight Missile cum Ammunition (MCA) Barges for the Indian Navy, was launched on 12 December 2024 at Mira Bhayandar, Maharashtra, the west coast launch site of SECON Engineering Projects Pvt Ltd, Visakhapatnam. The contract for the eight barges was signed with SECON, an MSME shipyard, on 19 February 2021. The barges were indigenously designed with an Indian ship design firm and model tested at the Naval Science and Technological Laboratory, Visakhapatnam. Six barges have been delivered and are used for transporting, embarking and disembarking ammunition to naval platforms.
